The New Mexico Incident Management Team
is an interagency type 2 incident management team that was
formed in 1990. The team consists of 35 primary members
plus a core of trainees and alternates from federal, state and local land managment and fire management agencies in New Mexico and West Texas. The team emphasizes interagency cooperation and teamwork, training and development, and safety in resolving incidents for agencies and communities. Team oversight is provided by a board of directors consisting of representatives from each Fire Managment Zone in New Mexico/West Texas.
